The increase of nitrogen content caused by the re-polymerization of nitrogenous compounds remains an important challenge during aqueous phase recirculation in the water solvent. In this work, aqueous phase recirculation was conducted in the ethanol-water solvent to evaluate the feasibility of ethanol addition in inhabiting the re-polymerization of nitrogenous compounds The present study provides a comprehensive comparison of yield and quality between bio-oils derived from aqueous phase recirculation in the water solvent and ethanol-water solvent. The results showed that the addition of ethanol in aqueous phase recirculation displayed higher promotion in bio-oil yield (7%) compared with water solvent (3.55%). The energy recovery efficiency of bio-oil from ethanol-water solvent reached 87.43% after recirculation for three times, while that from the water solvent was 74.61%. The elemental anal. and gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry anal. indicated that ethanol addition could inhibit the re-polymerization of nitrogenous compounds and thus decrease the nitrogen content in bio-oil. This resulted in lower NO and HCN emission peaks during the combustion process. Besides, the addition of ethanol increased the content of light mol. weight fractions and decreased the coke formation, which contributed to complete combustion and resulted in lower CO emission peaks. Overall, this work provides a feasible way for further improving the bio-oil yield and fuel quality through ethanol addition in solvent during aqueous phase recirculation. The occurrence of antibiotics in drinking water resources, like reservoirs, is of considerable concern due to their potential risks to ecosystem, human health, and antimicrobial resistance development. Here, we quantified 83 antibiotics in water and sediments of wet and dry seasons from the Miyun reservoir and its inflow rivers in Beijing, China. Twenty-four antibiotics were detected in water with concentrations of ND-11.6 ng/L and 19 antibiotics were observed in sediments with concentrations of ND-6.50 ng/g. Sulfonamides (SAs) were the dominated antibiotics in water in two seasons. SAs and quinolones (QNs) in wet season and macrolides (MLs) and QNs in dry season predominated in sediments. The reservoir and inflow rivers showed significant differences in antibiotic concentrations and compositions in water and sediments. As an important input source of reservoir, the river water showed significantly higher total antibiotic concentrations than those in the reservoir. In contrast, the reservoir sediments are the sink of antibiotics, and had higher total antibiotic concentrations compared with rivers. A prioritization approach based on the overall risk scores and detection frequencies of antibiotics was developed, and 3 (sulfaguanidine, anhydroerythromycin, and sulfamethoxazole) and 5 (doxycycline, sulfadiazine, clarithromycin, roxithromycin, and flumequine) antibiotics with high and moderate priority, resp., were screened. The study provides a comprehensive insight of antibiotics in the Miyun Reservoir and its inflow rivers, and is significant for future monitoring and pollution mitigation of antibiotics. Male mice were divided into six groups (n = 8): normal control (NC), CCl4, SM (50, 100, 200 mg/kg), and di-Me di-Ph bicarboxylate (150 mg/kg) groups. Mice were treated as indicated (once/day, orally) for 14 days, and CCl4 (2 mL/kg) was administered i.p. The serum and liver of mice were used for biochem. assays. To explore the underlying mechanism, HepG2 cells were treated with SM, stimulated with tert-Bu hydroperoxide (t-BHP, 50 渭M), and analyzed by Western blotting. The major active compounds of SM were alkaloids including 22 compounds Serum alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), and alk. phosphatase (ALP) decreased in the SM (200 mg/kg) group. SM can activate the expression of pregnane X receptor (PXR) and downstream mols. cytochrome P 4503A11 enzyme (CYP3A11), UDP glucuronosyltransferase 1 family polypeptide A 1 (UGT1A1), and inhibit the multidrug resistance protein 2 (MRP2). In addition, SM improved cell viability in t-BHP-induced HepG2 cells (64% to 83%) and decreased the activation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. The main compounds in SM were alkaloids. SM showed hepatoprotective effects possibly mediated by the suppression of oxidative stress through the MAPK pathway. Promising PROTAC 1q could effectively and selectively inhibit the growth of PC-9 (EGFRDel 19) and H1975 (EGFRL858R/T790M) cells, but not that of A549 (EGFRWT) cells. In addition, 1q could time- and dose-dependently induce degradation of EGFRL858R/T790M in H1975 cells with a DC50 value of 355.9 nM, while did not show obvious effect on the EGFRDel 19 and EGFRWT protein. Preliminary mechanism study demonstrated that the protein degradation was mediated through ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS). Furthermore, 1q could significantly induce the apoptosis of H1975 cells and arrest the cells in G0/G1 phase. These findings demonstrated that compound 1q could be used as initial lead compound for the development of new EGFRL858R/T790M degraders based therapy. In this study, fourteen antibiotics, sulfadiazine (SDZ), sulphapyridine (SPD), sulfacetamide (SCT), sulfamethoxazole (SMX), sulfamethazine (SMZ), trimethoprim (TMP), ofloxacin (OFX), lomefloxacin (LFX), ciprofloxacin (CFX), norfloxacin (NFX), oxytetracycline (OTC), tetracycline (TC), dehydroerythromycin (ETM-H2O) and roxithromycin (RTM), were analyzed in zooplankton collected from the Yelang Lake Reservoir between May 2016 and Mar. 2017. Our results demonstrated that the antibiotic TC (mean 95.80 ng g-1), OTC (mean 167.0 ng g-1) and RTM (mean 151.80 ng g-1) concentrations were significantly higher in zooplankton than the other antibiotics. TC, OTC and RTM accumulated intensively in zooplankton, and the BAFs of OTC, RTM and TC were significantly higher, with mean BAF values of 78.43, 108.4 and 110.1, resp. Antibiotic concentrations were strongly correlated with zooplankton phytoplankton biomass, OTC, RTM and SMX concentrations in zooplankton were significantly pos. correlated with bacillariophyte biomass, and SDZ and SMZ concentrations in zooplankton were significantly pos. correlated with T. brevifurcatus, T. mongolicus, and D. pulex biomass. SPD with P. tunguidus, C. cornuta, TMP, ETM and OFX with P. tunguidus, C. cornuta, M. leuckarti, C. vicinus vicinus, CFX with D. pulex, LFX with T. brevifurcatus, T. mongolicus, Bosmina longirostris, and D. dubium were significantly pos. correlated.
