Even in doxorubicin-resistant cells (NCI/ADR and MES-SA/Dx5), ELP-released cell-penetrating doxorubicin demonstrated better membrane penetration, leading to at least twice the killing of resistant cells compared to ELP-Dox and free Dox. MMP-digested CPP-Dox showed better membrane penetration and induced more cancer cell death in vitro. This CPP-complexed Dox released from the ELP killed even Dox-resistant cells more efficiently than both free doxorubicin and non-cleaved ELP-CPP-Dox.

During the single-blind period, 57.8% of patients were treatment responders. ASP8477 was well tolerated. During the single-blind period, 22% of patients experienced at least one treatment-related adverse event (TEAE); during the doubleblind period, 8% in the ASP8477 arm and 18% in the placebo arm experienced at least one TEAE. Conclusions. ASP8477 was well tolerated in patients with PNP; however, ASP8477 did not demonstrate a significant treatment difference compared with placebo.

The current study aims to assign and estimate the total creatine (tCr) signal contribution to the Z-spectrum in mouse brain at 11.7 T. Comparison between the WT and GAMT-/-mice provided strong evidence for three types of contribution to the peak in the Z-spectrum at 1.95 ppm, namely proteins, Cr and PCr, the latter fitted as tCr. A ratio of 20 +/- 7% (protein) and 80 +/- 7% tCr was found in brain at 2 mu T and 2 s saturation. Based on phantom experiments, the tCr peak was estimated to consist of about 83 +/- 5% Cr and 17 +/- 5% PCr. Maps for tCr of mouse brain were generated based on the peak at 1.95 ppm after concentration calibration with in vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

The PDs optimized at n(D) = 20 mM exhibit 0.413 A W-1 responsivity (R), 92 dB linear dynamic range, 1.09 x 10(10) cm Hz(1/2) W-1 detectivity, and 81.33% external quantum efficiency at a peak wavelength of 630 nm, and the loss of R is almost negligible while the PDs are kept for 700 h in air. These characteristics are comparable to those of commercially-available Si PDs and better than those of previously-reported graphene/Si PDs.
