The current study involves the biogenesis of titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) by using Moringa oleifera Lam. aqueous leaf extract for the reduction of titanium dioxide salt into TiO2 nanoparticles. The measurement of disease incidence and percent disease index showed the time-dependent response and 40 mg/L was reported a stable concentration of TiO2 NPs to reduce the disease severity. The effects of biosynthesized TiO2 NPs were also evaluated for agro-morphological (leaf and root surface area, plant fresh and dry weight and yield parameters), physiological (relative water content, membrane stability index and chlorophyll content) and non-enzymatic metabolites (soluble sugar, protein, soluble phenol and flavonoid content) in wheat plants under biotic stress and 40 mg/L concentration of TiO2 NPs was found to be effective to elicit modifications to reduce biotic stress. The current study highlights the significant role of biosynthesized TiO2 NPs in controlling fungal diseases of wheat plants and thus ultimately improving the quality and yield of wheat plants.

The temperature dependence of the rheological properties of poly(ether-b-amide) (PEBA) segmented copolymer under oscillatory shear flow has been investigated. The magnitude of the dynamic storage modulus is affected by the physical microphase separation and irreversible crosslinking network, with the latter spontaneously forming between the polyamide segments and becoming the dominant factor in determining the microstructural evolution at temperatures well above the melting point of PEBA. When the PEBA is heated to above T-cross, the content of crosslinking network increases with time and temperature, leading to an irreversible and non-negligible influence on the rheological, crystallization, and mechanical properties. A more pronounced strain-hardening phenomenon during the uniaxial stretching is observed for the sample with a higher content of crosslinking network.

The brain’s endocannabinoid system plays a crucial role in reward processes by mediating appetitive learning and encoding the reinforcing properties of substances. Evidence also suggests that endocannabinoids are an important constituent of neuronal substrates involved in emotional responses to stress. Thus, it is critical to understand how the endocannabinoid system and stress may affect reward processes given their importance in substance use disorders. We examined the relationship between factors that regulate endocannabinoid system signaling (i.e., cannabinoid receptor genes and prolonged cannabis exposure) and stress on fMRI BOLD response to reward cues using multivariate statistical analysis. We found that proxies for endocannabinoid system signaling (i.e., endocannabinoid genes and chronic exposure to cannabis) and stress have differential effects on neural response to cannabis cues. Specifically, a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) variant in the cannabinoid receptor 1 (CNR1) gene, early life stress, and current perceived stress modulated reward responsivity in long-term, heavy cannabis users, while a variant in the fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) gene and current perceived stress modulated cue-elicited response in non-using controls. These associations were related to distinct neural responses to cannabis-related cues compared to natural reward cues. Understanding the contributions of endocannabinoid system factors and stress that lead to downstream effects on neural mechanisms underlying sensitivity to rewards, such as cannabis, will contribute towards a better understanding of endocannabinoid-targeted therapies as well as individual risks for cannabis use disorder.

In addition, the optimal molar ratio of nitrilotriacetate:Fe-III was determined as 1:1, larger ratios decreased the degradation rate of crotamiton due to the competition effect of nitrilotriacetate on SO4 center dot-. The suitable dosages of Oxone and Fe-III-nitrilotriacetate complex were determined as 0.5 mM and 0.1 mM, respectively. Under the given optimal conditions, more than 99% degradation efficiency of crotamiton was achieved at an ultraviolet light fluence of 3.90 J cm(-2), better than those results obtained by the activation of S2O82- and H2O2. The results of quenching tests (tert-butyl alcohol and 2-propanol as scavengers) suggested that SO4 center dot- and HO center dot contributed similar to 65% and 35% to the degradation of crotamiton, respectively. Furthermore, the identified intermediates includes hydroxy-crotamiton, dihydroxy-crotamiton, aldehyde-crotamiton, aldehyde-dihydroxy-crotamiton, N-ethyl-2,3-dihydroxy-N-(o-tolyl)butanamide, (E)-N-ethyl-N-phenylbut-2-enamide, 2-(ethylamino)benzaldehyde and/or 2-(o-tolylamino)acetaldehyde, and (E)-N-ethylbut-2-enamide. The results indicated that the SO4 center dot- preferentially attacked on the amide and methyl groups of crotamiton. This work provided insight into the efficacy, radicals formation and mechanism on the activation of Oxone by ultraviolet light A-irradiated FeIII-nitrilotriacetate complex, offering an alternative approach for advanced water treatment.

Soil salinization and alkalization is one of the most devastating environmental problems, threatening the sustainable development of agriculture. Moreover, the increased content of active phosphate is attributed to the chelation and adsorption exerted through carboxyl and amide bonds. These findings demonstrated that Bacillus subtilis BSN-1 suppressed the crystallization of phosphate and therefor increased the content of active phosphate, which may provide a promising solution for amendment and remediation of saline-alkali soil.
