Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus is one of the most important ectoparasites in cattle breeding worldwide, causing direct and indirect losses to animals and producers. Chemical acaricides are utilized in the control of cattle tick and the increase in the development of resistance by ectoparasites makes new alternative necessary. Therefore, research studies have been carried out using bioactive molecules that are quickly degraded and that reduce poisoning to appliers and non-target organisms, environmental contamination and development of resistance. Thus, this study aimed to isolate piperovatine from the roots of Piper corcovadensis, a native species to Brazil, and to evaluate the larvicidal activity against Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus by larval packet test and in ex situ in an open environment. Piperovatine was isolated by classical column chromatography, and identified by H-1 and C-13 NMR. The lethal concentration (LC) of piperovatine that killed 50% (LC50) and 99% (LC99) of the larvae was determined by Probit analysis. The results indicated LC50 5.17 and LC99 25.41 mu g/mL. LC99 was tested in ex situ in an open environment, and an efficiency of 96.63% was found, indicating that piperovatine kept the larvicidal action determined in in vitro test and in open environment. Therefore, this study shows new perspectives to develop products that can be applied in natural conditions to control this ectoparasite.

We report the fabrication of polymer nanogels with a pH-responsive core and a pH-sheddable shell and investigate the pH-dependent cell association of the pH-responsive polymer nanogels. The pH-responsive core composed of poly(2-diisopropylaminoethyl methacrylate) (PDPA) with a pK(a) approximate to 6.2 was synthesized by using polymerization in emulsion droplets. The pH-sheddable poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) shell was coated on the amine-modified PDPA nanogels by an acid-degradable amide bond. The PEG shell is cleavable in response to the acidic tumor microenvironment, and subsequently, the surface charge of the nanogels can be reversed, which effectively enhances cellular association of these nanogels. The reported pH-responsive polymer nanogels provide a promising way for the better understanding of bio-nano interactions and potentially enrich the application of therapeutic delivery for cancer therapy.

In a document, author is Yu, Hao, introduce the new discover, Product Details of 112101-81-2.

Synergistic and nonsynergistic surfactant-water mixtures of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), lauryl betaine (C12B), and cocoamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) systems are studied using molecular simulation to understand the role of interactions among headgroups, tailgroups, and water on, structural and thermodynamic properties at the air water interface. SDS is an anionic surfactant, while C12B and CAPB are zwitterionic; CAPB differs from C12B by an amide group in the tail. While the lowest surface tensions at high surface concentrations in the SDS C12B synergistic system could not be reproduced by simulation, estimated partitioning between surface and bulk shows trends consistent with synergism. Structural analysis shows the influence of the SDS headgroup pulling C12B to the surface, resulting in closely packed structures compared to their respective homomolecular-surfactant systems. The SDS CAPB system, on the other hand, is nonsynergistic when the surfactants are mixed on account of the tilted structure of the CAPB tail. The translational excess entropy due to the tailgroup interactions discriminates between the synergistic and nonsynergistic systems. The implications of such interactions on surfactant effects in complex, multicomponent atmospheric aerosols are discussed.

A catalyst don’t appear in the overall stoichiometry of the reaction it catalyzes, but it must appear in at least one of the elementary reactions in the mechanism for the catalyzed reaction. 62965-35-9, Name is Boc-Tle-OH, molecular formula is C11H21NO4. In an article, author is Dolinina, Ekaterina S.,once mentioned of 62965-35-9, Safety of Boc-Tle-OH.

A simple and efficient transition metal-catalyzed C-H amidation with azodicarboxylates has been developed. Under silver catalysis, the amide substrates undergo regioselective C-H amidation at C5-position of the quinoline. Conversely, with palladium as the catalyst, the reaction gave beta-C(sp(3))-H amidation products via the activation of methylene C(sp(3))-H bonds. Mechanistic studies suggested that the single-electron-transfer and organometallic mechanism pathways gave rise to these surprising and distinct outcomes. Based on the mechanistic analysis, we designed a palladium-catalyzed/silver-promoted direct intermolecular beta-C(sp(3))-H amidation to activate the methylene C(sp(3))-H bonds of 5-chloro-8-aminoquinoline (CQ)-protected aliphatic amides with azodicarboxylates. Both catalytic protocols provide alternative, convenient, and simple strategies for efficiently accessing structurally unique C-N bond-containing compounds in a regioselective manner.

A novel Ag+-selective reaction-based probe based on an acetylthiourea derivative of 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole dye was investigated. The designed probe showed pronounced off-on type fluorescence signaling behavior towards Ag+ ions via Ag+-induced desulfurization of acetylthiourea to acetylurea. The signaling was superior to the analogous thioamide-to-amide conversion in terms of both speed and signaling contrast. Interference from thiophilic Hg2+ ions was effectively suppressed using the chelating agent EDTA as a masking agent. The practical application of the system to the detection of Ag+ in simulated wastewater with a detection limit of 0.76 mu M using a smartphone as an easy-to-use data capturing and processing device was successfully demonstrated. We report the continuous flow synthesis of acyl azides in various continuous flow systems and demonstrate that liquid-liquid separation may be incorporated to prepare anhydrous solutions of the acyl azide, which may be subsequently reacted with appropriate nucleophiles to prepare amines, carbamates and amides within a fully integrated multi-step process in high yields (> 80%). Interesting effects were also observed when preparing carbamates with long chain alcohols, whereby as the chain length of the alcohol increased the products could be made in high yield even without incorporation of the liquid-liquid separation module.

The effect of incorporating a single amide group on the self-assembly of discotic mesogens was examined. Two series of tetraalkoxydibenzophenazines amides were prepared: tertiary diethyl amides, dEt(n) incapable of hydrogen bonding, and secondary amides HBu(n) that can act as both H-bond donors and acceptors. These compounds exhibit markedly different behavior in solution; NMR studies of dEt(n) show no evidence of self-association, whereas HBu(n) strongly associate via H-bonding and pi-stacking. Compounds HBu(n) also act as small molecule gelators in a range of solvents, a property not observed for the corresponding tertiary amides. All compounds were found to form Col(h) liquid crystal phases; variable temperature XRD experiments indicate that each column has a diameter approximately equal to that of a single molecule. A comparison of the phase behavior of HBu(n) and dEt(n) suggests that the columnar phases of the former are stabilized by hydrogen bonding, likely at the expense of local parallel alignment of these molecules. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed that dEt(6) adopts an antiparallel arrangement in the solid state, in keeping with previous theories of packing within columnar LC phases. These studies highlight the interplay between competing factors, such as hydrogen bonding, pi-stacking and dipole-dipole interactions that affect the stability of the LC phases.
