The established method was rapid, simple and accurate which was suitable for batch determination of fructose, glucose and sucrose in tea. A total of 213 tea samples from 7 countries were analysed and the results statistically analyzed using MATLAB software. Moreover, source and adulteration analysis of sucrose in tea was carried out. Sucrose in tea is mainly derived from photosynthesis during growth, hydrolysis of polysaccharides during the processing and artificial adulteration, once the sucrose content in tea exceeds 24.3 g/kg, it may involve artificial adulteration.

Systemic administration of the nanoparticles and checkpoint blockade (aPD-1) to a breast cancer mouse model with multiple established tumors triggers antitumor activity evidenced by suppressed tumor growth and enhanced CD8(+) T-cell infiltration. Nanoparticles with ester links, which hydrolyze more readily, yield a stronger immune response with 75% of tumors eliminated when combined with aPD-1. The reduced tumor growth and the presence of activated CD8(+) T-cells across multiple tumors suggest the potential for treating metastatic cancer.

Eighteen semen samples from nine Santa Ines rams were cryopreserved in order to study the cryoprotective capacity of dimethylacetamide (DMA) at two concentrations (3% and 6%), and its interaction with trehalose (TRE, 100 mOsmol). Five treatments were examined: 6% GLY, 3% DMA, 6% DMA, 3% DMA + TRE, and 6% DMA + TRE. After thawing, the kinetic sperm parameters were analyzed using a computerized system. Sperm viability was observed using a multiple parameter sperm staining with propidium iodide (for plasmatic membrane integrity), JC-1 (for mitochondrial membrane potential), and FITC-PSA (for acrosomal integrity). The isosmotic extender with GLY was the most effective medium for the maintenance of sperm characteristics, compared to extenders containing DMA as cryoprotectant. Regarding fertility, the extender medium with 3% DMA may be a safe alternative for sperm cryopreservation, and does not compromise the fertility rates. The addition of TRE decreased the kinetic sperm parameters; however, a positive effect on the integrity of the plasmatic and acrosomal membranes was observed.

The present work aims to develop a class of green demulsifiers for effective demulsification process. In this respect, six chitosan-based nonionic surfactants were prepared by chemical modification of chitosan with two aliphatic fatty acids, namely, lauric and stearic. Surface properties of the prepared surfactants were calculated through surface tension measurements at different temperatures. Furthermore, the demulsification efficiency of the prepared surfactants was verified under different conditions. Also, maximum water separation was achieved at 45 degrees C, neutral medium and low salt concentration. Viscosity of crude oil before and after demulsification was used as a parameter for demulsification process.
